Bus Stop

I was happy to be a part of a project with 4Culture, King Co. Metro, and the Photo Center NW.  Several bus stops around King County are being redone using images by local photographers.  Two of my images were chosen, and the first one was installed in July and is located at a stop in Normandy Park on 1st Ave. South and S. 198th St. (in case you are ever out that way!)  Here it is!

Wayne Horvitz Sweeter Than the Day

There is an amazing music series called the Valley Vibes taking place every second Friday of each month through November, 2011 at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center in South Seattle.  They are featuring a variety of musicians from students to nationally known performers, and the best part is that there is no charge!  They even have a reception and discussion with the musicians after each performance.  It's open to anyone - please stop by!

Wayne Horvitz played the July concert with his band, Sweeter Than the Day, and they were incredible!

From July 20 - August 15th, I have 3 images on view at the Photo Center NW in Seattle.  See this link:  http://pcnw.org/gallery/exhibitions/?ref=top and scroll down.  The show features all music photography.

This is a great facility for the community with galleries, classrooms, studios, darkrooms and a digital lab.  Stop by!
