I photographed a gorgeous party at Bellevue Towers the other night for Team Photogenic. Set in the penthouse apartment with Canlis catering on a fabulous end-of-summer evening - it was a pleasure! The penthouse had been designed by the famous interior designer, Barbara Barry, and she was on hand signing copies of her book.

Opening Celebration of A Fuller View of China, Japan and Korea
It was a gorgeous, hot, summer evening in Seattle and I had the pleasure of photographing the opening of "A Fuller View of China, Japan, and Korea" at the Seattle Asian Art Museum for Team Photogenic. The museum is in such an incredible Art Deco building and the exhibits and lectures were both interesting and beautiful. Enjoy!

Jimmy Cliff!
It was so much fun seeing Jimmy Cliff the other night at the Neptune Theater in Seattle. He has a great band, and always puts on such an uplifting performance. During the Seattle winters, I always get happy when I hear him singing…"I can see clearly now, the rain has gone…."!

JDRF Seattle Guild Invitational Golf Tournament
It was a gorgeous sunny day for the JDRF Seattle Guild Invitational Golf Tournament at Glendale Country Club. Everyone had lots of fun and they raised a lot of money for Diabetes research. (For Team Photogenic).

Kneading Conference Photo in Seattle Times!
I was so excited this morning to read the Seattle Times and see one of my photos from Kneading Conference West, 2012! It's on the front page of the B section, and in case you don't get the paper, here it is:
The Kneading Conference is a wonderful event. This year's conference starts tomorrow in Mt. Vernon. Here is some more information:
Kneading Conference West is a three day event designed to inspire and educate novice and professional bakers, grain growers, millers, wheat breeders, wood-fired oven enthusiasts, food entrepreneurs, food writers, and anyone who loves to eat hand-crafted breads. The purpose is to bring together people who, by exchanging skills, experiences, and ideas, will invigorate the rebuilding of regional grain systems.
Workshops span topics from small-scale grain growing and milling to artisan bread and pastry baking to wood-fired oven construction. On the last afternoon a field trip will take participants to a farm that grows grain, a mill, and a bakery that will demonstrate using the local flour in bread.

The Heavy!
I recently photographed a band I really loved seeing called The Heavy. They are from the UK, and I've seen them a few times - this time they performed at the Neptune Theater in Seattle. Their website is: http://theheavy.co.uk/. Check them out!
