We had a "Fall Family Photoshoot" the other day - Trying to avoid the rain and wind we managed to get everyone together in fall colors with some colorful leaves too! Fun!

Bellevue Party!
I photographed a really fun party recently for Team Photogenic in Bellevue. With over 1,000 guests, there were lots of fun things including celebrity impersonators, themed rooms, dancing, and gambling. Here are some of the images…

Grant Elementary, Tacoma
I was so impressed by Grant Elementary School for the Expressive Arts in Tacoma! I was lucky enough to observe and photograph 3 different classes - 2 visual arts classes and 1 dance class. The kids seemed so engaged, and the teachers so committed - So good to see this during these times of cutting arts classes in schools!

Kneading Conference West, 2012
I had a fantastic three days in Mount Vernon photographing the Kneading Conference West last week. Nice people, gorgeous weather, beautiful setting - great time!
Kneading Conference West is a three day event designed to inspire and educate novice and professional bakers, grain growers, millers, wheat breeders, wood-fired oven enthusiasts, food entrepreneurs, food writers, and anyone who loves to eat hand-crafted breads. The purpose is to bring together people who, by exchanging skills, experiences, and ideas, will invigorate the rebuilding of regional grain systems.
Workshops span topics from small-scale grain growing and milling to artisan bread and pastry baking to wood-fired oven construction. On the last afternoon a field trip will take participants to a farm that grows grain, a mill, and a bakery that will demonstrate using the local flour in bread.
